Heather Batzel, Esq. has ten years of legal experience including as legal counsel to the World Bank’s carbon finance business and several years of law-firm corporate practice, garnering experience in numerous corporate, carbon and international transactions and a variety of company advisory matters. As General Counsel to the CQC group of companies, Heather advises on all legal issues and manages the global legal team, providing strategic advice on business transactions and navigating the international legal and regulatory framework within which CQC operates. Heather holds a Juris Doctor degree from American University’s Washington College of Law, where she participated in the year-long Community and Economic Development Law Clinic providing transactional legal services to client groups engaged in local community development. Prior to that, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
