CQC is working with government agencies to develop a series of efficient lighting programs and register the projects with the CDM. Through the projects, CQC will offer households highly subsidized compact fluorescent lamps to replace energy inefficient light bulbs.
CQC is partnering with many small wind farm owners to register a bundled wind power project with the CDM this year. Once fully operational, the farm will generated wind-based electricity that displaces fossil-fuel generated power in the regional grid.
CQC is collaborating with the developers of nine small- and micro-scale hydropower plants to register their projects with the CDM. The plants generate grid-connected electricity, and are expected to be operational by summer 2009.
